The Center for the Promotion of Indian Sacred Culture (also known as the Center for Indian Sacred Culture) conducts education, research and informational activities in the field of Indic spirituality and the cultural forms arising from this field. It organizes lectures, presentations, conferences, workshops, intensive studies, group discussions, musical programs, publications and performances related to sacred texts, spiritual philosophy, psychology, visual and performing arts and rituals.

The specific purpose of this organization is to promote Indian sacred culture. Towards this, it harnesses resources for public services and does not encourage, support nor aid in any way individuals, corporations or institutions that discriminate on the basis of religion, race, region or country of national origin.

The activities through which it attempts to achieve its goals include (but are not be limited to):

  • Holding of discourses by experts, scholars and practitioners in the fields of Indic spirituality.
  • Holding of study sessions in the reading and interpretation of Indic religious texts such as the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the texts of Buddhism and the writings of eminent spiritual teachers of India.
  • Distributing and making available for sale books and multimedia materials related to Indic sacred culture.
  • Developing a comprehensive library and online archive of texts and multimedia materials of Indic sacred culture for enhancement of knowledge to people.
  • Organizing culturally unique performances relating to Indian sacred culture to promote and encourage the understanding of these sacred forms among Indian and western populations.
  • Opening chapters of activity internationally to carry out above activities in Indic religious and spiritual studies at locations decided by the board;
  • Opening centers of specialized research, education and information dissemination in Indic religious and spiritual studies and practices at locations to be decided by the board;
  • Appointing committees to serve advisory and/or operational functions in Indic religious and spiritual studies and practices as decided by the board.
  • Supporting individuals and other religious organizations involved in the extension of these areas of Indic religious and spiritual study and practice;
  • Accepting donations, grants and legacies for purposes related to the objectives of the center.
